Parking in Preveza: Free Car Parks by the Marina, Port and Seafront
Where locals park in Preveza: four free car parks near the seafront tavernas and the old town, which one to try first, and two roads where you need patience.
Updated 19 October 2026

Preveza's old town and seafront are compact, and the lanes of the old market are mostly for people on foot. The easy plan is to park once and walk. All four car parks below are free.
For the seafront tavernas: the marina and the port
Heading for dinner by the sea? Start at the car park beside the marina, at the north end of the seafront. If it is full, carry on behind the marina to the car park at the passenger port, to the right of the luna park, where there is usually plenty of space. Both are a short walk from the waterfront.

Essentials
Marina Car Park (free)
Free public car park beside Preveza Marina, at the north end of the seafront: the first place to look if you're heading for the waterfront tavernas.

Driving in Preveza
- Ioanninon Avenue is the main road into town and it is very busy. Allow extra time and be patient.
- The old market lanes: if you have to drive near them, go slowly and carefully. People walk in the street.
Parking at the airport
Aktion airport has its own car park at the terminal. See the Preveza Airport guide and Preveza Airport to Preveza Town.
