Lygia Beach

Lygia, Zalongo coast between Preveza and Parga (about 31 km / 30 min from Preveza)

A quiet, unorganised stretch south of Vrachos and Loutsa, with a small harbour, sandy coves and rocky points about 30 minutes from Preveza.

About Lygia Beach

Lygia is a small settlement on the Ionian coast in the Zalongo area, about 30 km northwest of Preveza. It has a small sheltered harbour for small boats.

The coast here alternates between rocky and sandy stretches, from fine to coarse sand with small pebbles in places. Lygia's beach is the continuation of the long Vrachos–Loutsa beach, and because it is not organised, it is quieter and more secluded.

It suits people who want space and are happy to bring what they need, while the shops and tavernas of Vrachos and Loutsa are a few minutes up the road.

Good to know

  • There are no facilities on the beach: bring water, shade and food.
  • Water shoes help on the pebbly and rocky parts.
  • For a beach with sunbeds and tavernas, Loutsa is just to the north.

Help keep it unspoiled: take your rubbish with you, never light fires outdoors in summer, and respect wildlife and local life. How to travel responsibly
