About Natural History Museum of Neochori
The museum is in the village of Neochori, about 5 km from Preveza. Scientists from the University of Opava in the Czech Republic shaped it together with the Municipality of Preveza.
It shows finds that researchers use to study the plants and animals of the region 35,000 to 40,000 years ago. The star exhibit is part of a tusk of a straight-tusked forest elephant, a Pleistocene elephant larger than a mammoth, found near Agioi Apostoloi.
The museum opens only by appointment.
