About Syvota
Syvota is a small resort on the Ionian coast in Thesprotia, part of the municipality of Igoumenitsa, about 87 km (an hour and a quarter) north of Preveza. Its appeal is the sea: several islets lie just offshore, each with beaches, and the water around the village is famously blue.
The Blue Lagoon is the best-known swim: a small beach of coarse sand and fine gravel, open all the time and free. One of the islets can be reached on foot along a causeway covered by shallow water. Bella Vraka is another well-known beach.
The village itself is easy to walk around, a boat taxi stops at the harbour and the beaches, and boats can be hired at the harbour. In summer there are boat trips to Paxos and Antipaxos.
